IELTS, known as the International English Test System, is one of the famous international English standardized proficiency tests. The examination was established in 1989, and is jointly managed by the British Council for Cultural Education, the Examination Committee of Cambridge University and the Australian Agency for International Development of Education.
IELTS is an English proficiency test for those who intend to study or work in countries and regions where English is the language of communication. It is divided into academic test and training test, including paper-and-pencil test and computer test. Candidates are free to choose the examination mode that suits them.
