Do you want your children to enter school smoothly in Shanghai? As long as the following two conditions are met, you can arrange a school for your child.

Use certificate

One parent must hold a residence permit in Shanghai within the validity period, or the other parent must hold a temporary residence permit in Shanghai within 3 years.

Flexible employment registration

Completed flexible employment registration in Jie Zhen Town Community Affairs Acceptance Service Center for two consecutive years.

Public schools are preferred.

In primary school, we will give priority to your child's admission to public schools. If the local public education resources are tight, we will co-ordinate arrangements for your children to attend private primary schools entrusted by the government.

Full-time junior high school

In junior high school, we will arrange your children to attend full-time junior high school in a unified way. After entering the school, the school will inform students and parents of the relevant regulations and policies for applying for high school after completing compulsory education.

interview notification

Finally, students are invited to attend the interview in private schools with their household registration book, Shanghai residence permit or Shanghai temporary residence permit of one parent, employment and unemployment registration certificate, and receipt of residence registration application for individual household registration personnel in this city.
