Bookstore Love Volunteer Service Experience
No matter what job you are engaged in, you need to have a correct attitude, study hard, make continuous progress in your study, and keep learning in your progress, so as to improve your ability. The following is my "Experience of Love and Volunteer Service in Bookstore" for your reference only. Welcome to reading.

The experience of love and volunteer service in bookstores (1) Practice is the only criterion to test the truth. In class, we initially learned a lot of theoretical knowledge about my publishing, and the teacher also talked about some knowledge about bookstores in class. This internship can help us better understand the relevant professional knowledge, as well as the knowledge related to bookstore operation and the social demand for books, which is experience for our future study and work.

Because there are fewer bookstores in my hometown, only one big bookstore is Xinhua Bookstore, so I chose a relatively large private bookstore-Blue Dream Bookstore. There are some considerations in choosing this bookstore. First, private bookstores are definitely different from Xinhua Bookstore. Xinhua Bookstore can learn more through teachers and related books. Secondly, under the pressure of physical bookstores, private bookstores have some differences in funds, personnel and sales strategies. I want to know about the operation of private bookstores, so I chose Blue Dream Bookstore.

On the first day, I came to the bookstore, and the manager enthusiastically introduced the current situation of the bookstore to me. The bookstore is not very big, but the division is obvious, and each part has a specific classification. Most of the bookstores are all kinds of teaching AIDS and teaching materials. Because there are many teachers and students near a high school, there is a great demand for all kinds of teaching AIDS, some of which are best sellers, and there are few children's books, as well as some classic and professional books, magazines, calligraphy and painting.

Then the manager assigned me a job. My job is to sell teaching materials and teaching AIDS. Now it's summer vacation, and the students in Grade One and Grade Two are about to face intense high school study, so this kind of teaching aid is very popular. I think this job suits me very well, because I have been studying recently.

After the college entrance examination, I also made a lot of review materials and various teaching AIDS. I can look at teaching AIDS from the perspective of readers and students, so I can better adapt to and do this job well.

Teaching AIDS are mainly three-year college entrance examination, five-year simulation and other practice materials, as well as English learning materials such as Spark English, Bookworm and New Concept English and various auxiliary teaching materials. In my spare time, I also observed the best sellers in the bookstore. There are Liu Demystifying a Dream of Red Mansions (Part II) published by Oriental Publishing House, harry potter and the half-blood prince published by People's Literature Publishing House, Liu Demystifying a Dream of Red Mansions published by Oriental Publishing House, Tibetan Mastiff published by People's Literature Publishing House, Wolf Totem published by Changjiang Literature and Art Publishing House, The Outsider, The Old Man and the Sea, The Complete Works of Human Weaknesses, etc. I can remember too many things, such as a good mother is better than a good teacher, latent psychology in the workplace, Du Lala's promotion, Lotus Story, and Cai Kangyong's way of speaking, some of which have not been written down yet.

When I asked the store manager about the sales and purchase of these books, the store told me not to buy too many books at first, otherwise it would be easy to overstock. There are a little more bestsellers, but it's best not to exceed 50. This is the manager's experience for many years. Although bestsellers can be bought quickly, they can't be sold if there are too many. If it's not a best seller, it won't buy too many goods without knowing the market, usually 15. This is done in order to have more kinds, will there be too much backlog, because too much cargo pressure will not only cause certain losses but also increase costs, including the cost of venues, the cost of managers, the loss of books and so on. Books bought quickly should be replenished in time, which makes it easier to make a profit.

The manager also revealed to me that because the size of the bookstore is much worse than that of the bookstore in the city, we can't order directly from the publishing house, so we can only go to the book wholesale market to purchase goods. The discount for buying genuine books is 50% to 60%. Some of them have pirated books, which are very cheap, and some are even cheaper. Some bookstores often buy pirated books, but Blue Dream Bookstore is very famous in our hometown. It will not sell pirated books as genuine ones, and sometimes it will buy some goods and overstocked old books to supplement the types of old books. This is also a status quo. Genuine books are too expensive. Some pirated books are better in quality than genuine ones, but they are quite cheap, which is why pirated books exist. As for the sales of bookstores, the sales of children's books and various teaching AIDS are relatively large, and the sales of school stationery will grow rapidly. Usually, the sales volume is relatively small, and the profit is relatively small. In addition, the sales of reference books are generally sometimes small, and the sales of best-sellers are relatively large. However, bookstores still mainly rely on teaching assistants to make profits, and sometimes they are easy to sell out of stock, especially the books for reviewing the college entrance examination. The store manager said that although this kind of book has a lot of stock, it needs to be replenished. When sales are sluggish, books, old magazines and periodicals that have been overstocked for a long time will be sold at low prices, almost all of which are a little more than the purchase price, or even sold at a loss. Sometimes I buy some low-priced books, and the purchase price is generally only 10%-30%. After entering low-priced books, they can be sold at half price or lower to attract tourists. When it comes to sales, I have to talk about my job-shopping guide. Shopping guide is a very important part of the clerk's work. When customers ask for information about books, you must tell them seriously and responsibly. At the same time, in this process, I must learn to sell such books to customers as a book salesman, which requires me to face every customer with a serious and responsible attitude. At the same time, I must answer the customer's questions. In the process of shopping guide, some customers will have many questions, and they hope to know from the clerk what to choose for them (or their children). I was nervous at first, and I didn't have a deep understanding of some teaching AIDS that I didn't usually use. Customers often ask me which teaching AIDS are more suitable for me. The client wants me to better analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each teaching aid. I feel a lot of pressure. With the increase of times and reading in my spare time, I can learn more about the teaching AIDS in the bookstore, so I gradually adapted to this job, plunged into it and learned to understand what customers want from the customer's point of view.

When I asked about the return of books, the store manager told me that it is necessary to pay special attention to the fact that all publishing houses, booksellers and wholesale markets basically adopt the "non-return" book supply model, and the allocation price is discounted according to the existing books. However, if the book entered is a sample book or an out-of-print book, it will not be returned.

After half a month's internship, I learned a lot of other things. Half a month passed quickly. After half a month's internship, I was thinking that there are still some ways to sell in a private bookstore like Blue Dream Bookstore. After half a month's internship, I think this private bookstore can be improved, just my own opinion. I think bookstores are further sold at different levels, and people at different consumption levels have different needs. Since several nearby high schools have such a large supplementary teaching market, bookstores can establish cooperation with schools, understand the opinions of school teachers or the needs of school teachers to purchase goods, and then sell them to schools at a more suitable price, thus fixing customers and understanding the needs from teachers and classmates. Also, do I think bookstores can increase the rental items of books? The bookstore where I practice doesn't have this business project. I wonder if the manager is considering whether book rental will affect book sales. We can not only sell the books that have accumulated for a long time at low prices, but also rent them out, which can increase profits and save inventory space. I think books for rent should be practical, such as word dictionaries, agricultural books, medical and scientific books. These books are very professional, and most people read or learn knowledge for a while. Readers may not buy it because of temporary demand, so it will be difficult to sell it, so they rent it out, so they can get a certain income. I think there are some practical books, such as books on agricultural technology and books on home life, which can be cooperated with the farmer's bookstore. I have been to the farmer's bookstore several times, and the books in it are still very practical, and some people come to borrow books, so I can support the construction of the farmer's bookstore, which will alleviate the pressure on book inventory in this area and have an advertising effect. Third, I will insist on putting social effects first, killing two birds with one stone. Finally, I think bookstores should highlight their characteristics, such as the form of book rental seen on the Internet. It's better to borrow books than to buy books. You don't have to pay dozens of dollars after reading books for only a few days, which can immediately save 10 times the education cost! It is a form that parents are willing to adopt. Books in the form of bank idle books are no longer a burden, stored in bookstores, saving space and earning interest! Book consignment sends idle books to bookstores for sale, turning waste into treasure and turning idle goods into money!

Finally, I think the harvest of summer internship is still relatively large. Through practice, I have some preliminary understanding of the management of bookstores, which can be helpful for future professional courses such as the marketing of publications. It's just the most precious experience. Experience is highly valued in today's society, so I'm happy to practice it. The internship time of half a month is not long, but I am very satisfied and have learned a lot of experience, which is not a small fortune.

Experience of Love and Volunteer Service in Bookstore (2) I had the honor to practice in an art bookstore for one month this summer vacation. This month, I have a deeper understanding of the bookstore work, and I am familiar with the work of book on-site shopping guide. I thought this was a very simple job, but I didn't know the significance of on-site shopping guide in bookstores until I really got in touch with this job.

As a bookstore's on-site shopping guide, the basic work is to sort out goods, guide books for readers, communicate with readers and guard against theft. First of all, it is to sort out the goods. This is the most basic job of a bookstore guide. Sorting out the goods includes sorting out the newly arrived books on the shelves and selecting some best sellers for display. Also check the books on the shelves at any time and sort out the books that customers have misplaced. We must also clean the bookshelves regularly to prevent books from accumulating dust. Sometimes when new books arrive at the bookstore, we have to count the quantity and put them in storage. Secondly, we should guide readers, recommend suitable books for customers, and learn to find suitable customers for books. Some readers visit bookstores with clear goals and specify what kind of books they want. We just need to guide readers to find the right bookshelf.

But some readers just want a certain kind of books, with a wide range. At this time, we can recommend books for readers according to our dialogue with readers and our own usual experience. Then learn to communicate with customers. Communicating with customers is a very important step. From our communication with customers, we can understand their reading interests and book purchasing characteristics, which is convenient for us to recommend books to customers. You can also get useful information from customers and listen to customers' suggestions on bookstores. Finally, theft prevention. The biggest headache for bookstores is the loss of books. In my art bookstore, books are often lost. This can't be fundamentally solved just by installing cameras. This also requires on-site shopping guide, which is more troublesome. During work, you can't leave your responsible area without authorization. If these shelves are vacant, we should know the whereabouts of these books at once. Be vigilant when you meet suspicious people.

These are all things we do every day, but in these daily work, I find that on-site shopping guide is an indispensable part of the bookstore. On-site shopping guides sometimes urge readers to spend, but they also need each on-site shopping guide to sum up slowly in their daily work. The next step is the rule that I summed up after a month's internship in the bookstore.

As an on-site shopping guide, first, always smile. Readers themselves want to see the heartfelt smile of the on-site shopping guide. You should answer questions and be polite to others. In this way, readers are in a good mood and can also play a role in promoting readers' consumption.

Second, treat every reader with the same attitude. Whether readers buy or not, they should be enthusiastic and thoughtful. Because there are no readers who buy books, they will also be potential readers of bookstores.

Third, we should have professional knowledge and provide suggestions for readers to buy. My bookstore is an art bookstore. The books here are very professional, and many readers have clear goals when buying books. Some readers may just want to buy a picture album of a famous painter, and some readers may want a series of comic books. This requires the shopping guide to have a certain understanding of every book in his area. When readers need a book or a certain type of book, we can quickly help readers find the book they need. On-site shopping guide should have these professional knowledge, so that in the face of readers' doubts and questions, we can answer readers' questions professionally, instead of blindly understanding them. Answer customers' questions in time, don't be ambiguous, and don't let them lose confidence in us, so readers may feel uneasy when buying books.

Therefore, on-site shopping guide needs to have professional knowledge about books, but also know the general classification of books in bookstores and the shelves where these books are placed, which requires on-site shopping guide to spend more time and accumulate over time.

Fourth, there is no need to oversell readers. At the beginning of the training, the store manager told us that there was no need to oversell the readers. Because the books in my art bookstore are very professional, many readers who come to buy books have goals, they know what kind of works they need, and many readers also want to buy books in a quiet environment. If you keep bothering readers, it may backfire.

Fifth, returning goods should be as smooth as buying books. We can't just smile when readers buy books and be sad when readers return them. Even if readers need to return goods, we should smile, which will leave a good impression on readers and maybe become long-term customers.

Sixth, on-site shopping guides should learn to publicize the activities of bookstores in time, and bookstores will occasionally have discounts or full reductions. When you find that readers are interested in these promoted books, we need to inform them in time. Perhaps readers are not going to buy books, but they may decide to buy them after hearing about the activities. Some books are damaged or their covers are a little dirty. Readers should also be reminded in time that such books can be reduced in price.

Seventh, when customers want books, we can actively help customers find the books they need if the bookstore has them in stock. During the internship in the art bookstore, it is difficult for readers to find books because some books have many series. This is because we take the initiative to help them find books and leave a good impression on readers.

Eighth, we should always keep books and bookshelves tidy. Books are easy to accumulate dust on bookshelves, which requires us to arrange them frequently. If the bookstore shopping guide does not clean regularly, books will easily accumulate dust, and readers will feel dust on their hands when buying books, which will affect their mood of buying books.

During my internship in the art bookstore this month, I realized that the bookstore shopping guide is not just selling books, but also contains a lot of knowledge, which needs to be slowly summarized by the shopping guide in continuous practice. Moreover, I have learned more about the experience of bookstore work during this month's internship, and also learned some sales promotion experience of shopping guides.

Experience of Love and Volunteer Service in Bookstore (3) This year's practice place is a bookstore named Wu Tong. Compared with last year's promotion of environmental protection and garbage collection in the park, there is finally no need to bask in the sun. Although the bookstore is not very big, the conditions are not very good, there is no air conditioning, but the staff inside are very kind, so I am also very happy.

The first day, at 9 am, I went to the bookstore and met my boss. The boss introduced an aunt to take charge of my work and asked me to find her. There is an attic above the bookstore, which is the office. At first, my aunt brought the ledger and asked me to check the ledger and price sold every day in July, then check the daily income, and finally add it up to see if it was the figure she worked out. At first, I looked down on this job and thought it was simple, but it was not easy to do. Find the title one by one, and get it right one by one. Her handwriting is too fancy for her to read. Basically, she didn't write down the title completely, but chose a few words to represent the book. Some books have funny titles, such as Weapons of War and Weapons of the World, and some of them are based on "war" and "weapons". When I first got it right, I was always uncertain, and I confirmed it with her again and again. Aunt is very patient and answers me again and again without any impatience.

After I got the title and price right, I began to settle accounts. God, for the first time, I feel that the computer is not convenient. Moreover, the computer used in their bookstore is different from that used in our college entrance examination. If there is an error, do not press "Return". Dozens of numbers add up, and if you accidentally press the wrong button, you have to start over. Finally, if the answers don't match, you have to start over. After several mismatches, I felt like I was going crazy. Aunt looked at it and said with a smile, "It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter if you can't finish the calculation." Aunt will count. " I don't want to be said by her: an open college student can't even count the accounts, so many collapses.

Time flies, and it's time for lunch soon. There is a small room in the innermost part of the bookstore as a kitchen. I only know that the employees here cook and eat by themselves every day. Aunt said that the boss is very kind and the money for buying food every day will be reimbursed. He is often away from the store and trusts the employees. I think it is because of his trust in employees that employees work harder.

After dinner, I ran upstairs to the office to settle accounts. Finally, I feel more and more that the computer has been cooked. Nearly an hour later, the account was finished. Then, I started doing chores in the bookstore. For example, if a customer can't find a book to buy, I will help find it, or if I see that the book is misplaced, I will take it down and put it back. There are not many customers because it is too hot and there is no air conditioning. According to my aunt, that man was as busy as a bee when he started school in September. After all, this bookstore is mainly based on counseling books, and of course its customers are mainly students.

The first day passed like this. The next day, my aunt asked me to tidy up the bookshelf. Knowing that my second language is Japanese, she asked me to organize Japanese-related bookshelves. I classified Japanese books into categories: oral English belongs to oral English, listening belongs to listening, and the test level belongs to test level, from level 1, level 2, level 3 and level 4 to vocabulary, grammar and reading. After that, I broke out in a sweat. Looking at the fruits of one's labor, I have an indescribable sense of accomplishment.

In the next few days, the boss asked me to help him type something and type a book into the computer. This is a book about learning Go. The boss is a person who likes to play Go. Although this book is very old, he thinks the content is very good, but it can't be bought outside, so the boss plans to reprint it and make some, and he can also profit from it. In addition, the boss also has business dealings with some schools. It seems that the boss is still a business-minded person.

With the completion of this Go book, my social practice is over. My boss knew that I would have an exam in October/February, so he asked me to pick a favorite book on the Japanese bookshelf. After reading it for a long time, I finally took a Japanese proficiency test 1 simulation test from my bookshelf. The boss also knocked a commemorative badge of their bookstore on the first page of the book.

In this social practice, I learned one thing, that is, "no work can be looked down upon." A small bookstore has endless things to do every day. Often what you think is very simple will not be discovered until you actually do it, and it is also skillful. From September 1 day, as a fresh graduate, I will also face the problem of finding a job. Many college students always feel great when they just graduate. This job is too tiring and that job is too low, which is not desirable. Although I don't know what I will do in the future, no matter what I do in the future, I will study hard from the basics and never look down on any job with arrogance.

Experience of love and volunteer service in bookstores (4) Unconsciously, after nine exams, the summer vacation finally came to us. This year's social practice project, several of our classmates are going to practice in the bookstore of xx University Press next to the school, laying the foundation for future work and paving the way for the social environment.

When I was in junior high school and senior high school, I often went to the bookstore to buy books. I thought I had been to countless bookstores and knew the work of bookstores very well. The shopping guide is just to help customers find books. But when I came to the bookstore as an intern, I realized how superficial my previous understanding of shopping guide was. The job of a shopping guide is not only to find the ideal book for customers, but also to do many things. As we are a social practice project, our activity time is limited to 9: 00 to 1 1 every morning for seven days. After a brief understanding of the bookstore, I have a certain understanding of the workflow of the bookstore. Receiving goods, warehousing, sticking magnetic strips, putting books on shelves and shopping guides are all things that every shopping guide must do every day. Let me introduce the workflow of the bookstore:

I. Receiving and warehousing

Books are sent by the head office every day, and our job is to count the quantity and put it in storage. Don't think that simply putting the book in the designated location, this receiving and warehousing is the most complicated link in the bookstore work. Books have a series of steps from demand to warehousing: demand-declaration-receipt-inventory-shelf-warehousing. These steps are done almost every day. The shopping guide needs to count the lost books and then submit the documents in the library. So the next day, books from the library will be put into the branch from the head office. The next thing to do is to count and check the number of books needed, make up the books in the missing position, and put the rest of the books in storage for shelf repair.

Second, stick a magnetic stripe.

Sticking a special magnetic stripe in the back page of a book is a safety measure to prevent the book from being stolen. There will be a cashier to degauss the books when they are sold. If you want to take the book out of the bookstore without degaussing, the scanner at the door will automatically give a harsh "beep" sound prompt. This will ensure the safety of the books in the shop. Three: Shelving and putting books are also exquisite. Books in the same series and the same publishing house are often put together with their covers facing outwards. For example, books with phonetic notation and world series pictures often recommended by Yanbian Publishing House will be placed in a fixed position. When the shopping guide finds a shortage of books, he should make up the shelves in time.

Third, check the dirt.

In bookstores, this work is particularly important, because stained books cannot be sold at full price, so the importance of this work is obvious. Fortunately, bookstores have strict restrictions on the preservation environment of books in the stacks, so the phenomenon of books being defaced is not very serious. Only one or two of the 100 books are defaced, so the loss is not great. It can be seen that the preservation of unused items is a big problem in any industry, which deserves our study.

Fourth, shopping guide

Because the bookstores of Shandong University Press basically buy counseling books, it is not difficult to guide readers to the position of the books they want to buy. The rest of the readers can choose by themselves. I found some minor problems when I was working in the bookstore. First, some old tutorial materials are not favored by customers because of paper and other reasons, and often cannot be sold for a long time. New books keep coming in, and old books are still on the shelves, which makes the originally narrow space more crowded. If the bookstore can get rid of all these hard-to-sell books at a low price, I believe it can still make room for new books. These books are just inferior in paper, and they were published a year or two ago. If treated at a low price, I believe it can still attract consumers. This not only allows the old books to be sold, but also solves the problem of a large number of overlapping books, and also makes the bookshelf look more comfortable and convenient for shopping guides to find books. Why not? Secondly, some books often encounter quality problems, or are damaged, missing, or wrong in content, and the sold books will be returned, which will affect the reputation of the bookstore! If the publishing house is strict with typography and proofreading, I believe such a thing can still be avoided. Students buying missing pages or wrong books will inevitably affect their study. Therefore, I hope that many publishing houses can strictly control the quality in line with the principle of being serious and responsible, so as not to harm the interests of readers, bookstores and publishing houses.

I learned a lot in this internship.

First, as a bookstore staff, we should have a sense of responsibility.

Through internship, I learned that the job of shopping guide is not so simple. When customers have needs, we should explain them carefully and patiently. Unlike shopping guides, customers are familiar with every place in the bookstore and don't know the types of books, so the staff of the bookstore are required to solve problems for customers and find books that meet their needs.

Second, in the future work, we should work hard.

Handling books and sticking magnetic strips in bookstores are two "arduous" tasks. Moving books to designated places is also a manual work in bookstore work, ranging from five or six books to hundreds, which is the task of every staff member. Sticking the magnetic stripe requires the care of the staff.

Third, learn to be modest and ask others for advice.

When I first arrived at the bookstore, I was puzzled to see a wide variety of books with different names. It takes great efforts to write down so many titles and positions. I can't help but admire when I see that the bookstore staff can skillfully find the books that customers need, and even clearly remember the number of discounts. I guess I'll have to ask them more. After their guidance, I quickly adapted to my new job and recorded the categories and locations of books. It is true that there are elites in all walks of life. If you want to better adapt to the new job, you must ask for advice with an open mind. Only the old shopping guide who is familiar with the work can guide the new shopping guide, so that the newcomers can adapt to the work more quickly and let them devote themselves to the busy work as soon as possible.

During my working days in the bookstore, I clearly realized that only by personal experience can I master it better. When we participate in social practice, we can constantly exercise ourselves and accumulate work experience in practice, so we are required to take every social practice seriously and lay the foundation for better work in society in the future.
