Conditions for issuing a certificate of returning from studying abroad
According to the relevant regulations of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, the certificate of returned overseas students is only issued to overseas students who have studied and visited in regular institutions of higher learning and scientific research outside the country (territory), have lived abroad continuously for more than six months, and are about to return to work.
It does not include language training classes, various preparatory classes, language learners in language schools, people who visit relatives while studying abroad, and people who study and work in foreign companies, enterprises and business departments at their own expense.
Those who meet the above requirements for studying in China can hold their passports, degree certificates, original academic transcripts (referring to overseas students who have received academic education), or certificates of continuing study and learning experience (referring to ordinary visiting scholars, postdoctoral students, and international students exchanged between universities) before graduation (graduation) and returning home (not in advance).
Go to the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy or the Consulate General to issue the Certificate of Returned Overseas Students. Those who have completed their studies, have not yet obtained the graduation (degree) certificate, or are temporarily unable to come to the embassy to issue the certificate of returned overseas students due to special reasons, may entrust others to come to the embassy or consulate with their passports, copies of degree (graduation) certificates and original transcripts after obtaining the degree (graduation) certificate.
