Interpretation of Campus Culture Connotation in Zhengzhou No.74 Middle School
From ancient times to the present, the naming of terraces, pavilions and study rooms is a subtle education, and the culture of a school is the core and soul of school development. The construction of campus culture in our school takes "understanding education" as the background, takes "China spirit" as the core, embodies the school-running concept of "understanding, harmony and development", and strives to create a quiet and elegant understanding campus culture full of academic atmosphere.

We try to decompose "China Spirit" into nine key words, that is, the serialization of the connotation of "China Spirit", that is, nine chapters: "profound beauty, integrity and peace, patience and diligence, self-study, loyalty and tolerance, simplicity and innocence, openness and sincerity, sincerity and perfection." Among them, self-study, loyalty, tolerance and honesty are the three main principles of action, and these nine chapters are named after nine buildings on campus.

Group sculpture: dialogue

The title design of this group sculpture is dialogue, which is made of pure bronze. This group of sculptures consists of four figures and two empty futons. These four figures are: Master Confucius, Disciple Yan Hui, Disciple Luz and Disciple Zeng Shen, representing Lide, meritorious service and Liyan respectively. The idea of two empty futons is not to wait, to be neutral in education, to enhance understanding through spiritual dialogue, and to be harmonious but different. Dialogue is the spiritual symbol of "understanding education" in our school, and it is also the overall guidance and embodiment of "China spirit".

1. Office building: Hongmei Building (Yue Hong Shenmei)

Yue Hong's profound beauty stems from the words "Wen is the highest poet in the Tang Dynasty, and his words are profound and beautiful" in the Preface to the Selection of Ci in the Qing Dynasty. 19 18, Mr. Cai Yuanpei presented the book "Yue Hong Aesthetics" to the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, explaining that "Yue Hong Aesthetics" means extensive knowledge; "Probably" means making careful choices on the basis of extensive knowledge and absorbing what is useful to you. Life is limited, knowledge is infinite, and you can't spread it too much just to learn professional knowledge. Deep' is the spirit of research. If you enter the lion's den, you will get nothing and never return. Beauty is the ultimate perfection. "

These four words, first, require the reader to have a broad mind and vision, extensive knowledge, firm goals, lofty artistic ideals, indomitable learning spirit, the historical responsibility of never-ending trekking to the peak of knowledge and never-ending education, taking the prosperity and development of the Chinese nation as his own responsibility, aiming high, caring for all beings and striving for life.

2. Science and Technology Building: Zhonghe Building (Zhongzheng Heping)

"Righteousness and harmony" is the main connotation of the golden mean. Confucianism believes that if "harmony" can be achieved, everything in the world can be in its proper place and achieve a harmonious state. The Book of Rites The Doctrine of the Mean: "Don't express your ambition, but express your ambition in the middle section. The doctrine of the mean is the foundation of the world, and the harmony is the way of the world. Neutralization, the position of heaven, the education of all things. "

Zheng Zhongping's Xunzi Wang Zhi: The balance of the position of the fair is also the rope of the neutral. In the language of Taoism, righteousness and peace means righteousness. "Taiping Jing, the method of rejuvenating the emperor with three qi": "There are three vitality, the sun, the moon and the neutralization." In the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the Taoist priest Bo Xin falsely said, "Neutralization refines nine qi, and Shenzi thanks three yuan." Since then, "righteousness and harmony" has been extended to a doctrine of the mean. Confucianism believes that people's moral cultivation can reach a harmonious state, then everything in the world can be in its proper place and reach a harmonious state. Interpretation of Modern Chinese Dictionary: Chinese refers to justice and fairness, while peace generally refers to gentle temperament, gentle words and deeds, peaceful atmosphere and cessation of disputes.

3. Experimental Building: Diligent Building (Patience and Diligence)

About patience. Ambition is half patience and the other half patience. Learn to be patient, and you will be broad-minded, so that you can master knowledge and wealth. Some people say that people's grievances are inflated, which is not unreasonable. As far as we ordinary people are concerned, patience is difficult to achieve, because it requires us to fight resolutely with our own desires, as well as extraordinary vision and firm will. Especially before something is decided and a certain breakthrough is made, there will be an unbearable sadness. People generally divide at this time, and people who are patient will have great happiness. Suddenly, what appears in front of you is an unexpected joy, the joy in the corner! Without patience, all previous efforts will be wasted and nothing will be achieved. Feng Lun said that greatness is made, and it is very vivid and accurate.

About diligence. Most of us can't stand being alone for more than half an hour. This is why we lack the ability to think independently. Diligence is step by step. Steps are the basic process and law of people's inner spiritual growth. As Wang Guowei said, life takes three steps. The first step is to climb a tall building alone and look at the end of the world. The second stage is that the belt is gradually widened, and there is no regret, which makes people haggard; The third step suddenly turned around, but the man was in the dim light. The way to improve is to cultivate one's own breath, aura and state, and continuous improvement will continuously improve the richness of one's inner world. In my opinion, the way to improve is nothing more than introspection and perception. Introspection is a kind of chest-expanding exercise, which makes people wise, while perception is a kind of puzzle-solving exercise, and the perceived things can be regarded as their own things, which also complements the core habit of teachers and students in 74 middle schools: "reflect on yourself in mistakes."

4. North Suburb Building: Xiu De Building (self-taught and cautious)

One of the main principles of spiritual action: self-discipline and self-discipline, which requires people to adhere to self-education, self-supervision and self-discipline in the process of self-cultivation. This principle was put forward in the first chapter of The Doctrine of the Mean. It says: "Those who are Tao can't leave for a moment, and those who are not Tao can leave. So a gentleman is wary of what he can't see, and fear is almost unheard of. Don't be invisible, don't be insignificant. Therefore, the gentleman is cautious and independent. " People must carry out self-cultivation strictly and consciously, especially when they are alone, and be cautious in self-reflection, self-discipline, self-education and self-supervision.

5. Nanjiao Building: Zhongrong Building (loyalty, forgiveness and tolerance)

The spirit of the second principle of action: loyalty, forgiveness and tolerance. This principle requires people to care about each other, understand each other, care about each other and hurt each other, and be loyal, tolerant and kind, and go hand in hand without contradiction. This principle can be found in chapters 13 and 30 of The Doctrine of the Mean. "Confucius said:' People are not far from the Tao. People who are far away from Tao can't be Tao. "Poetry" says: Wako Wako, not far away. There is still a long way to go to beat Ke. Therefore, a gentleman rules people by man, and that's it. Loyalty and forgiveness are not far from breaking the law. Don't do to others what you don't want. "

6. Northern Restaurant: Zhenweilou (simple and naive)

The aesthetic of China culture takes "simplicity and innocence" as the core element, that is to say, "simplicity and innocence" is one of the cores of China's traditional cultural thought, which means the realm of truth, goodness and beauty, and also implies the aesthetic cultural ideal of tenderness, innocence, sincerity and simplicity. In fact, it is the most beautiful interpretation of the artistic conception of "China Spirit"

In daily life, Hong Yingming said in "Caigen Tan": Maifandou soup is light in taste, and it is still fragrant on chopsticks. It means: using coarse wheat and soybeans as soup and rice is light but long, and there is still a fragrance in your mouth when you put down your chopsticks. Eat carefully, face every bite of food sincerely, and then work hard under its nutrition. Plain and naive is the spirit of Tao in real life.

7. South lecture hall on the second floor: Xugu Building (ethereal)

Laozi: "In ancient times, people who were good at walking around the streets were subtle and profound, which was very understandable. Because I can't know him, I can only describe him reluctantly: he is cautious, as if crossing the river on water in winter; He is alert and alert, as if to guard against the attack of neighboring countries; He looked respectful and solemn, as if he were going to dinner. He moves freely, as if the ice is slowly melting; He is simple and honest, as if there were no processed raw materials; He is broad-minded, open-minded, like a deep valley.

The so-called "great benefits are insufficient, and great wisdom is foolish." The loudest voice is inaudible, but the whitest thing is defiled. People who wear gold and silver all day may not really have money; The weak are not necessarily timid; A confused person is not necessarily a fool. The heart of a saint is as empty as a bellows between heaven and earth, as empty as a valley in the mountains, and boundless. So he has never been complacent. Because valleys are not easy to fill and mountains are not easy to lose. Only Huixinxi and Nabaichuan can become rivers and lakes. This is the real connection of "modesty as a valley" in Tao Te Ching!

If you are open-minded, it is from Tao Te Ching, "If you care about Sichuan in winter, if you are afraid of your neighbors, if you are a guest, if you are released from the ice, if you are cold, if you are simple, if you are open, if you are confused."

8. Male dormitory: Zhicheng Building (Cheng)

The spirit of the main action principle 3: sincerity. The principle of sincerity is an important principle of the golden mean. "Only when the world is sincere can we do our best. If you can do your best, you can do your best; If you can make good use of human nature, you can make good use of things; If you can make the best use of it, you can praise the teaching of heaven and earth; If you can praise the cultivation of heaven and earth, you can go to heaven and earth. " Only by adhering to the principle of sincerity can we give full play to our kind nature. If you can exert your kind nature, you can influence others and exert their kind nature; If the goodness of all people can be brought into play, the goodness of all things can be brought into play; If we can give full play to the goodness of everything, we can participate in the cultivation of everything in heaven and earth. Reached the realm of benevolence and goodness; When you reach the realm of benevolence, you can rank third with heaven and earth. This is an ideal state achieved by adhering to the principle of sincerity. When this ideal state is reached, a person finds his real position in the universe.

9. Female bedroom: Shangshan Building (Shangshan is like water)

"Being good as water" refers to the highest realm of good deeds. Just like the nature of water, it does not dispute fame and fortune and is favored by all things. Good: the best and the most perfect; Water: This refers to a saint who does not struggle with the world. Achieving perfection is like being a saint. This sentence can be understood as: water has the virtue of nourishing all things, so that all things have their own benefits, without conflict or conflict with all things, so the greatest goodness in the world is like water.

Chapter 8 of Lao Zi's Tao Te Ching (chapter 8 of variability): goodness is like water. Water is good for all things without dispute, and evil for all, so it is a few words. Living in a good place, kind-hearted, kind-hearted, good at words, good at politics, good at doing things, good at dealing with people. Husband is just indisputable, so there is nothing special.
