The Research Center for Social Science Development in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education was established in June 1986 1 1. It is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Education, referred to as "Social Science Center of the Ministry of Education". The main duties and tasks of the Social Science Center of the Ministry of Education are to carry out research on theoretical issues of philosophy and social sciences, practical issues of building Socialism with Chinese characteristics and development trends of philosophy and social sciences; Organize guiding and overall academic seminars in colleges and universities, and carry out cross-school and interdisciplinary academic exchange activities. Compile relevant reference materials, and put forward policies and countermeasures for philosophy and social science research, discipline construction and related practical work.
