Inner Mongolia Medical University, located in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the National Health and Wellness Commission of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China) and the Ministry of Education.

2. School history

The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as Inner Mongolia Medical College. It is one of the earliest medical colleges established in minority areas in New China. At that time, it was under the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China and was placed under the management of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 1958. On March 20 12, it was renamed Inner Mongolia Medical University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
