In June, 20021,the Ministry of Education and other four departments jointly issued the "Guidelines for the Construction of Nutrition and Healthy Schools", which reiterated this point.

Obviously, in practice, the rule that "schools are not allowed to open canteens" is just a dead letter. Take a casual look at any primary school or middle school, and it is easy to see snack bars or supermarkets.

Not only that, in the past two years, there have even been frequent incidents in which the lease right of primary and secondary school canteens has been auctioned for millions of yuan.

School canteens sell food, which can't be shut down or banned, and can't be sold at a sky-high price. On the surface, it is necessary for the school canteen to meet the shopping needs of some students, but in the final analysis, it is driven by the interests behind it.
