The Byzantine church continued to maintain the tradition of studying theological theory with Greek philosophy, which enabled the Byzantine Empire to preserve and spread Greek culture to a certain extent. It can be said that in the Orthodox Church, the image of God is outlined in front of believers from the perspective of Greek culture. These social and cultural characteristics of Byzantium determine that secular cultural education can be preserved and developed in Byzantium under the situation that religious education in Western Europe dominates everything.
