Later, he published the article "Why can't the solution of Su Jiaju's algebraic quintic equation be established?", which was appreciated by Xiong Qinglai, a master of mathematics, and was soon introduced to Tsinghua campus.

A year and a half later, Hua completed all the courses in Tsinghua University Institute of Mathematics and taught himself English and French. Then, his mathematical papers were published in domestic and foreign journals. 1934 On the recommendation of Xiong Qinglai, Hua was hired as a teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics. Soon, the school leaders appointed him as a professor of mathematics.
