To promote Putonghua, we should do a good job in the following three aspects in accordance with the policy of "vigorously promoting, actively popularizing and gradually improving" determined by the state:

1, clearly required. Schools at all levels that teach in Chinese use Putonghua for teaching, making Putonghua the teaching language. Radio stations and TV stations at or above the county level that broadcast in Chinese must use Putonghua, making Putonghua the standard language for propaganda work. State organs, organizations, enterprises and institutions must use Putonghua in their official activities to make Putonghua a working language. People from different dialect areas and ethnic groups in China should use Putonghua in communication, so that Putonghua can become the national common language.

2. Strengthen testing. Putonghua proficiency test is an important part of Putonghua promotion and an important measure to make Putonghua promotion more scientific, standardized and institutionalized.

3. standardize the use of words. On the basis of continuing to attach importance to phonetic standardization, standardize vocabulary and grammar. Because vocabulary and grammar problems affect the level of Putonghua and actual communication to a considerable extent.
