Present situation and prospect of secondary vocational education
The prospects and present situation of secondary vocational education are as follows:

First, the development status of secondary vocational education

In recent years, the state attaches great importance to vocational education, and has successively promulgated the Decision of the State Council on Accelerating the Development of Modern Vocational Education and the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan. Vocational education has broad prospects and great potential. Now the curriculum of secondary vocational education is also to cultivate students' all-round development. Secondary vocational education is an integral part of China's secondary education, shouldering the heavy responsibility of cultivating hundreds of millions of high-quality workers and is the foundation of China's economic and social development.

Its curriculum is divided into two categories: public basic courses and professional courses. Public basic courses: Chinese, mathematics, English, computer application, physical education and health, mental health and moral education: refer to professional technical skills courses and professional theory courses.

Secondary vocational schools cultivate high-quality workers and skilled talents who meet the requirements of China's socialist modernization, develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically, have comprehensive professional ability and work in the front line of production and service.

Second, the development prospects of secondary vocational education

Since 2006, the employment rate of secondary vocational school graduates has remained above 95%, and the counterpart employment rate has been above 70%. Secondary vocational education has played an important role in the process of serving poverty alleviation and helping education to help the poor accurately. The tuition-free and bursary policies for secondary vocational schools cover more than 90% and 40% of students respectively, and about 70% of them are employed in counties and cities nearby.

In 20 19, the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan issued by the State Council clearly stated that "vocational education and general education are two different types of education, which have the same important position" and that "secondary vocational education is an important foundation for popularizing high school education and building a vocational education system with China characteristics". Adhering to the development of secondary vocational education and consolidating its basic position are the requirements of people-oriented and promoting fairness, as well as the needs of ensuring economic and social development and optimizing the educational structure.
