According to the Notice of Sichuan Provincial People's Government of Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on Printing and Distributing the Institutional Reform Plan of Sichuan Provincial People's Government and the Implementation Opinions of the Institutional Reform Plan of Sichuan Provincial People's Government (No.24 [2009] of Sichuan Provincial Committee), the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Department of Education) is established as a department of the provincial government. The Education Working Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (hereinafter referred to as the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee) is the institution in charge of education work of the provincial party Committee and co-located with the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education.
