Henan University of Science and Technology is a university jointly established by the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Henan Province, supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China, and a key characteristic university in Henan Province, which belongs to a group of multi-provincial undergraduates. At the same time, Henan University of Science and Technology has four campuses: Kaiyuan, Xiyuan, Jinghua and Zhoushan. Henan University of Science and Technology is located in Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is a university jointly established by the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Henan Province, supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in central and western China, a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, and a governing university of the Silk Road University Alliance. It is one of the first batch of universities for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology transfer by the Ministry of Education, and one of the three high-level comprehensive universities under key construction in Henan Province. The school was founded in 1952 and moved to Luoyang in 1956. It was renamed as Luoyang Institute of Technology, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Machinery Industry. 1998 was placed under the management of Henan Province by the Ministry of Machinery Industry. In 2002, Luoyang Institute of Technology, Luoyang Medical College and Luoyang Agricultural College merged to form Henan University of Science and Technology.
