Centennial History of Xitang Street Primary School in Yushan Town, Kunshan City
Xitang Primary School, Yushan Town, Kunshan City, is located in the south half of Maanshan Bridge. The school was founded in the 31st year of Guangxu reign (1905). At that time, under the influence of Fang Fang, Wang and other enthusiastic educational reformers, the Zhu family used the Yizhuang warehouse (where Kunshan Middle School is now located) created by Zhu to set up several schools at that time, named "Kunshan Primary School Hall", with two teaching classes. Wang (1865-65435), in addition to students' tuition fees, mainly supplemented by Yizhuang farmland rent. At the beginning of the Republic of China, the name of the school was changed to "Yushan No.1 National School", with Zhu Fuquan as the principal, and later changed to "Xitang Primary School in Kunshan No.1 School District". The scale gradually expanded, from 1922 to four classes in four grades, 140 students, six faculty members, and then to 1929, with six classes in six grades and 20 students. 1937, the Japanese army occupied Kunshan, and the Japanese invaders occupied Yizhuang dwellings; A fire broke out around Yizhuang 1940, and the house (classroom) was seriously damaged. The school temporarily borrowed a house in Beitang Street (now Lin Ting Road), which greatly reduced the number of students. 1940, the school only opened one class, 42 students, one teacher, Qian Ping (concurrently principal); After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, the school moved to its present location. On the eve of the liberation of Kunshan, the school had six grades and nearly 200 students. The principal was Yang Jianxi.

After liberation, the people's government appointed Comrade Chen to take over the school and renamed it "Kunshan No.4 Center Ethnic School". There were six classes, and the number of students increased rapidly, from 65,438 in the second half of 0949 to 292 in the first half of 0950. Until August 1995, the Municipal Education Bureau reorganized the schools in Yushan District, and Xitang Primary School was upgraded to a stock-level school again.
