The School of International Education of Wuhan University of Technology was established in July 2002, and undertakes the task of international education cooperation and exchange of Wuhan University of Technology. Since its establishment, the College has introduced international advanced school-running concepts and models, concentrated excellent teachers and teaching resources, and vigorously carried out educational cooperation with internationally renowned universities.

And with Michigan Tech University, George Mei Sen University, Detroit Massey University, Bauer State University, Troy University, northern arizona university, University of North Carolina at pembroke, University of Nebraska at Carnell, East Washington University, St. Martin University, San Francisco State University, Utah State University, Emporia State University, Warwick University, Manchester University, Liverpool University, Hull University, university of bradford University, Northumberger University, Derby University, Swansea University in Wales, Swansea College of Higher Education, Southampton College, Metz University in France, Windsor University in Canada, McMaster University in Australia, Charles Darwin University in Australia, Wexer University in Sweden and Indi University in Malaysia have established good educational cooperation relations. After five years' development, the number of students at present is nearly 1.700, and it has become a large-scale college with standardized running, high training quality and similar colleges dedicated to developing international cooperative education. Since 2000, the School of Economics and Bordeaux Business School in France have jointly trained international business master (MIB) graduates, and have trained about 200 international students for five sessions. As a partner of IBM in China, the College has jointly established a training and research base for e-commerce, e-government teaching and scientific research, and provided a training and examination platform for IBM e-commerce software global professional certification. As one of the key investment projects of the school, Economic Analysis Center has initially established an economic research platform with the function of economic database. The School of Economics also has the only provincial-level economic management experimental teaching demonstration center supported by economic experimental teaching in Hubei Province. The college has successively completed a number of research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation, as well as scientific research projects entrusted by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications and provincial and municipal governments. Conduct project demonstration or development strategic planning for large enterprises and institutions; Every year, nearly 10 books and textbooks are published, and more than 100 academic papers are published.
