The chairman of Shanghai Pudong Model Middle School is Liu Yuanzhang, former deputy director of the Education Bureau and national model worker; the vice chairman is Ma Yili, director of Pudong Social Development Bureau; and Jiang and Wu Peifang, vice presidents of the Model Worker Association of the municipal education system.

The first principal of Shanghai Pudong Model Middle School was Wu Xiaozhong, a deputy to the Eighth National People's Congress, a national model worker in the education system, the president of the General Education Branch of the Shanghai Model Worker Association in the education system, an outstanding national principal, a recipient of State Council allowance, a special-grade middle school teacher, and the former principal of Shanghai No.2 Middle School.
