If the teaching language of the applicant's undergraduate course is not English, the following minimum English proficiency requirements shall be met:

1. IELTS 6.0 or above (not less than 5.5 for each item)

2. TOEFL score above 80.

3. Other equivalent education: such as C or above in Cambridge English Proficiency Test, CET-6 /450 or above.

4.GPA: the GPA of research graduate students should reach 85, the GPA of teaching graduate students should reach 80, and HKU should reach 85. Transcripts should be in Chinese and English. It is usually obtained from the academic affairs office of the school. The envelope should be sealed and stamped (sealed and stamped).

5.GRE/GMAT scores: Some schools require GRE scores, and some business majors require GMAT scores. Although GMAT is not mandatory, applicants with this score will be given priority. For example, an MBA requires two years of full-time work experience and GMAT scores.

Proof of English proficiency: Generally speaking, TOEFL scores are required. Unlike the United States, universities in Hong Kong do not require ETS to issue grades, but only a copy of the original. Some universities don't even have to take TOEFL scores, but mainland CET-4 and CET-6 certificates are also acceptable. But a good TOEFL or IELTS score is obviously more competitive.
