According to the person in charge of the Anhui Provincial Department of Finance, in recent years, a large number of rural students have flooded into cities, which has brought great pressure to urban compulsory education. Areas and schools that receive more children of migrant workers have repeatedly called for improving relevant policies as soon as possible. At the same time, the status of rural students has changed, and it is difficult to continue to enjoy the central government's "two exemptions and one subsidy" policy. Unifying the funding guarantee mechanism of compulsory education in urban and rural areas reflects the concern of the party and the government for students studying in cities and adapts to the new situation of new urbanization and household registration system reform.
According to the implementation opinions, starting from the spring semester, the benchmark quota of public funds per student in urban and rural compulsory education schools will be unified. The benchmark quota of public funds per student is: 600 yuan per student in ordinary primary schools and 800 yuan per student in ordinary junior high schools.
