The 633 system is a system of six years in primary school, three years in junior high school and three years in senior high school. The main feature is to attach importance to the knowledge base. It mainly adopted the "six-three-three system" which had been implemented in some American states for more than 10 years at that time, marking the transformation of China's modern education system from imitating Japan to imitating the United States, and from nationalist education to populist education. But it is not blindly following the American system, but the crystallization of long-term brewing and brainstorming in China's education sector.
