Shang Rong's personal introduction
Born in Dongtai, 1978, Ph.D., director of editorial department of China Buddhist Art, sculptor and theorist of Youth Creation Center of China Sculpture Academy. He has been engaged in the study of Buddhist calligraphy, painting, sculpture and temple culture, and published more than 40 papers, essays and reports at home and abroad. His translated works include Tanjing, Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, 42 Chapters of Tanjing (co-authored), Comments on Four Laws of Lefan (co-authored), Ten Classics Affecting China Culture, Buddhist Calligraphy Part of a Large Buddhist Academic Series A General History of Buddhism in China (co-authored) and Harmonious Realm-Macau Sculpture. He was awarded the National Excellence Award, the China-Tibet Award, the Zhao An Award and the Hongyi Award by the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing University.

In 2000, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University with a bachelor's degree in art education. In 2004, he graduated from the Philosophy Department of Nanjing University with a master's degree in religion, and studied under Professor Wu Weishan. 20 1 1 graduated from the philosophy department of Nanjing university, majoring in China, with a doctorate in philosophy, and studied under Professor Lai Yonghai. He has been engaged in the research on the history of Buddhist calligraphy in China and the history of ancient religious sculpture in China. The main research fields are Buddhist statues and calligraphy, as well as theoretical criticism and practical creation of contemporary sculpture. He has published more than 60 papers, essays, comments and reports at home and abroad, and is the head of the epigraphy department of Ren, a major national publishing project. Independently presided over the Youth Fund for Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, "Buddhism and Calligraphy in Han Dynasty-Types, Causes, Value Influence and Aesthetic Implication". Participated in many national and provincial projects in the national art science planning, independently presided over and completed school-level projects. He was awarded the National Excellence Award, the China-Tibet Award, the Zhao An Award and the Hongyi Award by the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing University. During my school years, I have been teaching master's and undergraduate's introduction to Buddhism, special topics of China's philosophy history-Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming Dynasties, Buddhism and art in Han Dynasty.
