Labor education will become a new focus of curriculum upgrading for middle school students in Beijing.
"Since September last year 15, the college has undertaken agricultural activities for more than 2,000 middle school students in four urban areas, five batches and seven schools," said Cheng Wenhua, vice president of Beijing Agricultural Vocational College. "The second phase will continue in the spring."
Combined with the seasonal changes in Beijing, Beijing Agricultural Vocational College has formulated the teaching plan and work plan for middle school students. A course unit that is relatively simple and easy to learn, with high students' interest, and can penetrate labor consciousness and practical ability. The practical teaching of 29 interesting courses, such as flower arrangement, embossing, postcard, pet grooming, pet training, western-style pastry making, microbial detection, autumn harvest experience, park cleaning, and agricultural popular science visit, was set up.
Junior high school students' agricultural education project activities are mainly aimed at junior two students, including learning the basic contents of modern agriculture and understanding the development direction of modern agricultural science and technology; Carry out agricultural labor practice experience activities, participate in agricultural labor and learn labor technology; Carry out colorful agricultural education practice activities such as labor creative group competition, cultivate innovative spirit and practical ability. In order to ensure the teaching effect, the college selected experienced excellent teachers and teachers with the title of associate professor or above to undertake the teaching, and completed the teaching workload in the first stage 1 1980 hours.

The aim is to take the lead in solving the problem of comprehensive reform of basic education by making overall use of relevant educational resources in the city, taking municipal guidance projects as the model of the city, further leading counties, schools and educational bases to share high-quality educational resources, creating an atmosphere of comprehensive implementation of quality education, and allowing more students to have the opportunity to enter social large classroom resource units.
Higher vocational colleges can be said to be familiar with higher vocational education for junior college students, but it is the first time to carry out agricultural teaching activities for junior high school students. Can teaching concepts, teaching methods and management models meet the needs?
Cheng Wenhua said that we are exploring a new model suitable for middle school students to learn agricultural education, and strive to explore a curriculum system with agricultural characteristics that integrates "education, labor, cognition and experience", combines classroom and field, and combines cognition and practice according to the age characteristics, knowledge structure and hobbies of middle school students. In the future, the college will also introduce a destination risk assessment mechanism, hire experts to provide scientific basis for project operation, reduce project risks and ensure the smooth progress of the project.
