Liaocheng Institute of Education is located at the foot of Drum Tower in Dongchangfu City, Liaocheng City, next to dongchang lake and Haiyuan Pavilion. It is an institution of higher learning registered by the Ministry of Education (approval number: Ministry of Education [84] No.003). Liaocheng Teachers College was formerly known as Imperial Examination College in Qing Dynasty and Liaocheng Teachers College. It was founded on the basis of Liaocheng Teachers College in 1977 and 10, and became the highest institution in Liaocheng history. 1987, approved by Liaocheng prefectural party Committee and administrative office, was renamed Liaocheng Institute of Education.
