Beijing University of Political Science and Law is a full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education.

Formerly known as Beijing Political Science and Law Cadre School, the College was founded in 1982. 1985 was renamed Beijing Institute of Political Science and Law Management, and the former Beijing Amateur Law University and Beijing Judicial School merged in 1993 and 2000 respectively. In August 2003, Beijing College of Political Science and Law Management merged with Beijing Third People's Police School to form Beijing Vocational College of Political Science and Law.
