It was first put forward by Italian drama theorists in the Renaissance, and later defined and popularized by French classical dramatists. The "three unifications" stipulate that script creation must abide by the consistency of time, place and action, that is, only one story can be written in a script, and the dramatic action must take place every day.

The origin of the three laws

"Three uniforms" is the product of classicism in17th century. It was formulated by the scholars in the French court at that time according to the political intention of Louis XIV, and finally embodied in The Art of Poetry by the classical theorist boileau.
