Comparison between public and private primary schools
Private primary schools refer to schools or other educational institutions run by social organizations or individuals other than state institutions using non-state financial funds according to law. Public primary schools are funded by the government. Generally speaking, the number and scale of public schools far exceed those of private schools, with relatively low learning costs and relatively perfect teaching facilities.
In the compulsory education stage of public primary schools, only tuition and miscellaneous fees are required, so the fees are relatively cheap. Private primary schools are expensive, ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands.
According to the requirements of the Education Bureau, public primary schools use designated teaching materials for teaching. Private primary schools can choose their own teaching materials, and the curriculum is more flexible. Some private primary schools with foreign language advantages will offer more English classes every week than public primary schools.
