The School of International Culture and Education of Nanjing Normal University was founded in 1996, and its predecessor was the Foreign Students Department of the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Normal University. The enrollment of foreign students began at 1965. It is one of the institutions that accepted foreign students earlier in China, one of the two Chinese tuition institutions for foreign students in China designated by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) (PRC), and one of the institutions that offer China language and literature undergraduate majors for foreigners.
