Safety production education refers to the educational activities to prevent and eliminate personal and equipment accidents and occupational hazards in the production process and realize the safety production of enterprises. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), it is generally led by the chief engineer or the deputy director of production technology, and organized and implemented by the safety technology department. The contents include: knowledge of laws and policies on safety production and labor protection, operating technical regulations, relevant rules and regulations, use methods of safety devices and protective articles, typical experiences and accident analysis.

Safety education for new workers is generally divided into factory education, workshop education and on-site job education. Special training is required for special jobs with strong skills and high risks, and only after passing strict examination can they work at their posts.

Safety education and training can improve the safety awareness of leaders at all levels: strengthening the education and training of enterprise leaders, department heads and squad leaders can improve their understanding of the safety production policy, enhance their responsibility system and consciousness of safety production, and urge them to attach importance to safety production and actively participate in safety management.
