Self-enrollment (referred to as single enrollment) is a selection and admission mechanism launched by the Ministry of Education to further improve the higher vocational education system with China characteristics and the diversification of higher education. Before the college entrance examination, higher vocational colleges will organize the proposition, examination and marking, determine the minimum admission control score line, determine the admission list, and report it directly to the Provincial Education Examinations Institute for approval and filing. Candidates who take the independent entrance examination enjoy the same treatment as those who take the college entrance examination.
