On Education is a collection of four educational papers published by Spencer. The book puts forward some original opinions around the purpose and task of education, curriculum theory and educational methods, covering all aspects of morality, intelligence and physique. After the book was published, it had a great influence in Britain and many countries in the world, which greatly promoted the development of modern scientific knowledge and education.

Herbert spencer, English philosopher, sociologist and educator. Known as "the father of social Darwinism", he put forward a set of theories that applied evolution theory to sociology, especially education and class struggle. He is a pioneer of English philosophers who expounded the theory of evolution in theory.
1in the spring of 848, Spencer came to London and began to write for the magazine. After 1853, Spencer published four educational papers in journals, namely, Intellectual Education, Moral Education, Physical Education and What Knowledge is Most Valuable. Spencer lived mainly in London all his life. 1898 moved to the south of England, and 1903 died on February 8.
