Legal basis: Article 18 of the Administrative Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China. In order to exercise the supervisory function, the supervisory organ shall perform the following duties:

(a) to check the problems existing in the state administrative organs in observing and implementing laws, regulations and decisions and orders of the people's government;

(two) to accept complaints and reports of violations of administrative discipline by state administrative organs, state civil servants and other personnel appointed by state administrative organs;

(three) to investigate and deal with violations of administrative discipline by state administrative organs, state civil servants and other personnel appointed by state administrative organs;

(4) Accepting the complaints of state civil servants and other personnel appointed by state administrative organs who refuse to accept the administrative sanction decision of the competent administrative organ, as well as other complaints accepted by supervisory organs according to laws and administrative regulations;

(five) other duties as prescribed by laws and administrative regulations.
