1, Peking University.
Peking University, abbreviated as Peking University, was born in 1898, formerly known as Shi Jing University Hall. It was the first national university in modern China, and also the first school established as a "university". Its establishment marks the beginning of modern higher education in China. Peking University is the only school established as the highest institution of higher learning in modern China. At first, it was also the highest educational administrative organ of the country, exercising the functions of the Ministry of Education and being in charge of national education. Peking University gave birth to the earliest modern academic system in China and initiated the earliest university disciplines in China, such as liberal arts, science, social sciences, agriculture and medicine. He was the founder of modern higher education in China.
2. Tsinghua University.
Tsinghua University (Tsinghua for short) was born in 19 1 1. It was established on the basis of the "boxer indemnity" returned by the United States, named after Tsinghua Campus, and located in the northwest suburb of Beijing. Formerly known as "Tsinghua School", it was a preparatory school for studying in the United States founded by the Qing government. The following year, it was renamed "Tsinghua School". Fudan University is the first batch of national key universities jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Shanghai, the first batch of 7 national 2 1 1 projects, 9 985 engineering universities, and the first batch of members of the national top universities "Everest Plan", "1Plan" and "Nine Schools Alliance" (C9 Alliance). 5. China Renmin University.
China Renmin University, referred to as the National People's Congress for short, was born in the bonfire of 1937 War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Qiushi Academy, formerly known as 1897, is one of the earliest modern institutions of higher learning founded by China people themselves. 1928 was renamed as National Zhejiang University. During the Republic of China, Zhejiang University, led by its old president Zhu Kezhen, rose to be one of the highest institutions of learning in the Republic of China, and was praised as "Oriental Cambridge" by British scholar Joseph Needham, which ushered in the most glorious period in the history of Zhejiang University. So Zhu Kezhen, the old headmaster, became the greatest person in the history of Zhejiang University. Directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), Zhejiang University is one of the first seven "2 1 1 Project" and the first nine "985 Project" key universities in China. Shanghai Jiaotong University is located in Shanghai, the economic and financial center of China, directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a comprehensive national key university featuring science and engineering, covering science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, literature and law. It is the first batch of 7 "2 1 1 projects" and 9 "985 key projects" in China. 8. Nanjing University.
Nanjing University, or Nanda for short, is an institution of higher learning with a long history. Tracing back to imperial academy, Nanjing, which originated in the first year of Sun Wu Yong 'an, the modern school history began with Sanjiang Normal School founded in 1902. After several changes, National Central University was renamed as National Nanjing University on 1949, and Nanjing University in the following year, which is still in use today.

It has been selected in the Everest Plan,11Plan, "201Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", "Knowledge Innovation Project of Chinese Academy of Sciences" and "National Overseas High-level Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base" successively.

The National University of Defense Technology, referred to as National University of Defense Technology for short, is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Central Military Commission of People's Republic of China (PRC), covering ten disciplines such as science, engineering, military science, management, economics, philosophy, literature, education, law and history. It is one of the first batch of key construction institutions in China, including "Project 2 1 1", "Project 985" and "Project 21/kloc-0". Selected in "Plan 20 1 1" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", supported by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education.
