Xue Ji in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period is the earliest educational document in the world.
Xue Ji puts forward that "learning is the only way to turn people into customs" and "governing the country and ensuring the people, teaching first", revealing the importance of education and the relationship between education and politics. Xueji also puts forward the dialectical relationship between teaching and learning and the teacher's view of "being strict before respecting".
In teaching, learning by rote is opposed, and heuristic teaching is advocated, that is, "the teaching of a gentleman is the teaching of metaphor", "Tao is painting, strength is restraint, and openness is expressiveness", and teaching should follow the characteristics of students' psychological development, that is, learning slowly.
