The school has 905 in-service teachers, including 598 full-time teachers, more than 200 professors and associate professors, more than 330 teachers with master's degree or above and more than 350 part-time professors. English and other 30 undergraduate majors and professional directions, as well as 8 specialist majors and professional directions such as clinical medicine, nursing, medical laboratory technology, pharmacy, pharmaceutical preparation technology and marketing.
With the approval of the superior, the school cooperated with Qingdao Donghe Information Co., Ltd. to train students of computer science and technology (software outsourcing direction) and computer science and technology (Internet of Things direction) by order.
With the approval of the higher authorities, the school cooperated with the University of Memphis in the United States to hold an international cooperation project on nursing professional education.
The specialty of clinical medicine and preventive medicine in the school is the characteristic specialty of the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education. Clinical medicine (psychiatry and mental health) and nursing are provincial specialties. Medical immunology was rated as a national excellent course. Physiology, diagnostics, pharmacology, pathology, medical chemistry and many other courses have been rated as provincial-level quality courses. Pathology and pathophysiology, neurology, cardiovascular disease research and treatment center and neurology are key disciplines in Shandong Province. The school has provincial key laboratories such as behavioral medicine, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, occupational health and environmental medicine. There are 28 research institutions including Shandong Institute of Behavioral Medicine, Cardiovascular Clinic and Neurobiology Institute.
Since the 11th Five-Year Plan, the school has undertaken more than 430 projects at all levels, including National Natural Science Foundation, Provincial Natural Science Foundation, provincial key science and technology projects, the 11th Five-Year Plan supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, nearly 100 subprojects of 973 and 863, international cooperation projects, nearly 300 bureau-level projects and more than 0/00 school-level projects.
