Xinjiang Normal University covers a total area of 2,864 mu and is divided into three campuses: Wenquan, Kunlun and Wenguang, which are located at Guan Jing Road 100 in Shuimogou District, Xinyi Road 102 in Shayibak District and Kashi East Road 16 in Xincheng District. The planning of Wenquan Campus began in 2009, construction started on 20 10, and the first phase of occupancy was on 20 14. At present, it has become the main campus and administrative center of the school, undertaking the education and training tasks of undergraduate and graduate students majoring in liberal arts. Kunlun campus is now mainly responsible for undergraduate and graduate students in science and engineering and art, as well as continuing education, distance education, teacher and cadre training, international student education and other tasks; Wenguang Campus mainly undertakes preparatory education and training tasks.
There are 23 colleges in the school, among which Marxism College is the national key horse college. The school authorized the master unit 1993 and the doctor unit 20 13.
