Xiangyang No.1 Middle School is a public middle school headed by Xiangyang Education Bureau. It is a national famous basic education school, a demonstration high school in Hubei Province and a key high school directly under Xiangyang City.
The school was founded in 1897 as Hongwen College, 1928 as Xianbei Middle School, 1952 as Fancheng Junior High School in Hubei Province, 1956 as Xiangfan No.1 Middle School and 20 10 as Xiangyang.
