The Central Academy of Drama, referred to as Chinese Opera, is located in Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is the first drama education high school in New China, a college directly under the Ministry of Education, the highest institution of drama, film and television art education in China, and a "double-class" construction university determined by the state. It is the headquarters of China Higher Drama Education Alliance, the headquarters of Asian Drama Education Research Center and the secretariat of World Drama Education Alliance. It is a world-famous art college. The Central Academy of Drama originated from Lu Xun Art College, which was established in Yan 'an in 1938. After that, it passed through the College of Literature and Art of North China United University, the Art College of North China University and the three departments of North China University, and was merged into Nanjing National Theatre Academy.
