Tianjin University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as Tianjin University of Science and Technology) is located in Tianjin. It is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, science, literature, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, law and art. It is a "double-class" construction university jointly established by the central and local governments.
It has been selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education to implement universities, the national "11plan", the national college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, and the national "key discipline project with characteristics" to build universities. 2. Teacher profile
By March 2023, the school had more than 2 100 teaching staff, including full-time teachers 1400 and doctoral and master's supervisors 1260.
At present, there are more than 20 national talents, including 6 academicians (including double employment), candidates for the national special support plan, national candidates for the 100-million-person talent project, and national famous teaching teachers, including more than 0/00 provincial talents/kloc, including distinguished professor, and more than 40 national and provincial high-level teaching and research teams, including the innovation team of the Ministry of Education.
3. Discipline construction
By March, 2023, the school had four first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points and biological and medical professional degree doctoral authorization points, 20 first-level discipline master degree authorization points and 12 master degree authorization categories.
It has two top disciplines in Tianjin, namely light industry technology and engineering, food science and engineering, and six service industry characteristic disciplines, namely industrial biotechnology, homology of medicine and food, new chemical materials, intelligent light industry equipment manufacturing, comprehensive utilization of offshore seawater resources and environmental protection, big data and smart cars.
Five disciplines, namely agricultural science, chemistry, biology and biochemistry, engineering and materials science, entered the top of ESI global ranking 1%. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, light industry technology and engineering, food science and engineering ranked third and eighth among 24 and 79 participating universities in China respectively.
