Can educational land be transferred?
Can be bought and sold. University land is educational land, which belongs to state-owned allocated land. The transfer or change of use of allocated land must be reported to the people's government with the right of approval according to law. Colleges and universities that use allocated land may not transfer it without permission.

For vacant land or inefficient land caused by historical reasons in some colleges and universities, the development and utilization of such land must meet the requirements of local land use master plan and urban master plan.

According to the Catalogue of Allocated Land, educational land is only allocated for non-profit educational facilities. Specifically,

1, school teaching, office, experiment, scientific research and campus cultural and sports facilities.

2. Students' dormitories, canteens, teaching practice and training bases in higher, secondary and vocational schools.

3. Teaching, office and activity places in nurseries and kindergartens.

4. Rehabilitation and skill training facilities in special education schools (schools for the blind, schools for the deaf and schools for the mentally handicapped).

Land for other for-profit educational facilities should be provided by way of transfer, and enterprise legal persons with relevant school-running and educational business licenses bid by way of bidding, auction and hanging, which naturally belongs to educational transfer land.
