The city has jurisdiction over Lucheng, Longwan, ouhai district, Ruian and Yueqing districts, Yongjia, Dongtou, Pingyang, Cangnan, Wencheng and Taishun counties, with a total of 1 19 towns, 143 townships and 30 sub-district offices.

Wenzhou is a big ocean city. Coastal beaches are rich in marine biological resources, with a breeding area of 65,000 hectares, which are used for breeding clams, clams, oysters, shrimps and crabs. Nanji Islands is a national marine nature reserve with more than 490 species of shellfish and algae. The main fishing grounds along the coast are Dongtou, Beiji, Nanji and Yueqing Bay, and there are more than 370 kinds of fish such as hairtail, yellow croaker, eel, pomfret, catfish and calcium fish.

The major water systems in Wenzhou are Oujiang River, Feiyun River and Aojiang River, all of which flow into the East China Sea from west to east. The national trunk line and the third-line coastal passage (Tongshan City, Heilongjiang Province to Sanya City, Hainan Province) run through Wenzhou. Jinhua-Lishui-Wenzhou Expressway will be completed in 2005, and Zhuji-Yongjia Expressway in Shaoxing has started construction at the end of 2004. By the end of 2004, the total mileage of Wenzhou highways was 5,455 kilometers, including expressway 182 kilometers, first-class highway 155 kilometers, and second-and third-class highways 1220 kilometers. There are 4,857 highway administrative villages in the city, with an opening rate of 8 1.6%.

railway

The completed Jinwen Railway, the started Wenfu Railway and the soon-to-be-started Yongwen Railway have formed a crisscross railway network in Wenzhou. Among them, Wenzhou Station, the largest passenger station of Jinwen Railway, has become a first-class railway station, with more than 20,000 passengers entering and leaving the station every day. Wenzhou West Railway Station, the largest freight station of Jinwen Railway, has an annual cargo throughput of more than 4 million tons.

Wenzhou Port is one of the 20 major hub ports along the coast of China. At present, it has four major ports: Old Town Port, Yangfushan Port, Longwan Port and Qili Port. The total investment of the reclamation project in Zhuangyuan 'ao Port Area, which has started construction, is about11000,000 yuan. The coastline of Zhuangyuan 'ao Deepwater Port Area is 4.8km long, with 7 deepwater berths/kloc-0, which will form an annual handling capacity of 3 million TEUs and 40 million tons of cargo. The natural water depth of the approach channel reaches15m, which can reliably berth 65438+ 10,000-ton ships to unload the second-generation containers. After the completion of the port area, international container and bulk cargo shipping will be the mainstay, and the sea passage from Wenzhou to the international market will be opened.

civil aviation

Civil Aviation Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport is located in the south bank of Oujiangkou, Wenzhou, 24 kilometers away from the city center. It is a 4D-class airport, which can meet the take-off and landing of aircraft below B767 and A300. A total of 64 domestic Hong Kong routes have been opened, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Haikou, Chongqing, Kunming, Urumqi and Harbin. In 2004, there were 30,200 planes taking off and landing safely, with a passenger throughput of 2.48 million passengers and a cargo and mail throughput of 40,000 tons.
