The development of history

1954, Menglian Dai, Lahu and Wa Autonomous Region was established. It was named after the place where Meng Lianchang sued. 1959 changed to Menglian Dai, Lahu and Wa Autonomous County.

In 2000, Menglian Dai Lahu and Wa Autonomous County administered 2 towns and 5 townships: Menglian Town, Ma Meng Town, Jingxin Township, Nanya Township, Yanfu Township, Lalei Township and Gongxin Township. According to the data of the fifth census, the total population of the county is 208,593, of which the population of each township (person) is Menglian Town 34 190 Ma Meng Town1109 Jingxinxiang Town 12946 Nanya Township 7990 Yanfu Township 65438.
