Who was Wang Yong in the Anshi Rebellion?
The eternal king in the Anshi Rebellion is Li Lin.

Li Lin, formerly known as Li Ze, was born in Ji Cheng County, Longxi County (now Qin 'an, Gansu Province). He was the sixteenth son of the imperial clan of the Tang Dynasty, half-brother and mother Guo Shunyi.

My mother died young and was raised by my brother Hengli. Smart and studious, proficient in calligraphy. At the beginning, Wang Yong was ordered to lead Jingzhou viceroy and Kaifu Yitong three divisions. After the Anshi Rebellion broke out, the four ambassadors of Shannan, Jiangxi, Lingnan and Qianzhong were conferred, leading the viceroy of Jiangling and guarding Jiangling. Recruit troops and set up official positions.

In the first year of Zhide (756), in the name of plotting a rebellion in Jiangdong, Tang Suzong sent troops for encirclement and suppression, defeated Li Lin and fled south. In the second year of Zhide (757), he was captured and killed by Huang Fushu, a visiting official from Jiangxi.

In May of the first year of Baoying (762), his nephew Tang Daizong (son of Tang Suzong) rehabilitated him.

Li Lin's character controversy

Lin li's date of birth is not recorded in history, but according to her half brothers CoCo Lee and Li Mao's date of birth, it should be between 7 19 and 72 1.

Book of the New Tang Dynasty Volume 82 Biography of Wang Yong: "Governor Chen Guang refused to accept it, saying that the general said: Do you want to fight evil with the public? When the emperor moved, the road was blocked, and philosophers were not wise to the king. If the general jianghuai sharp soldiers, long-term drive courage, Luo, can be a great success. This is not the case today, which makes our name rebellious, like what will happen in the future? "

Although the Book of the New Tang Dynasty was written in the Northern Song Dynasty, its historical sources include the records of National History and biographical notes of the Tang Dynasty. When the written records can't be seen in the existing original vouchers but can be confirmed by the relevant original vouchers, they should be regarded as the original vouchers. The general's military discipline in the Book of the New Tang Dynasty said that he was "like a general in Jianghuai", which also proved that he was the commander-in-chief of the Jianghuai military forces when he went to Yangzhou as described in the Book of the Old Tang Dynasty and the Book of Yuan Guishu.

Because "General Jianghuai Sharp Soldiers" refers to the soldiers who command Jiangnan East Road and Huainan Road, how can Lin be called "General Jianghuai Sharp Soldiers" if he is only the commander-in-chief of Shannan East Road and other four provinces, not the commander-in-chief of Jianghuai military forces? The so-called "Ru", if also, means that Yangzhou was labeled as "rebellious" before he arrived at the headquarters of Jianghuai Military Forces, not necessarily "General Jianghuai Sharp Soldiers".
