Contribution of Gestalt Psychology
Gestalt is a transliteration of German "Gestalt". As the name implies, this school emphasizes the wholeness of psychological process. Its founders are Wittheim and Kaufka. Different from the structuralist psychology of Feng Te and Tiechener, the founders of psychology, the latter takes psychological phenomena as the research elements. Gestalt believes that human psychology is a systematic and coherent process and cannot be studied separately. Therefore, Gestalt emphasized the integrity of perception and thinking, which laid the foundation for Piaget's Geneva School and the development of modern cognitive psychology. It can be said that the whole thinking mode of Gestalt is the greatest contribution to the development of psychological research!
