Japanese majors generally choose from linguistics, literature, sociology, management, history and education when applying for graduate students.

You can choose to apply for graduate students (auditees) or directly test monks. If you take the exam directly, you basically need to take the exam in Japan. What you need to see is mainly your major and examination ability. You don't need to go to Japan to apply for graduate students.
