The township is inclined from north to south and belongs to hilly areas, with an average elevation of 460 meters. The monsoon climate is obvious and the four seasons are distinct. The total cultivated land area is 12333 mu, and the forest coverage rate accounts for more than 1/5 of the total area.

The economy is dominated by agriculture. The township has a large area, good forest vegetation and obvious temperature difference between day and night, which is suitable for the cultivation and growth of various economic activities. The grain planting area is 12333 mu, and the main crops are rice, wheat, corn, peanuts, mung beans, soybeans and rape. The cash crops are 2 100 mu, mainly sericulture, rape and vegetables. Sericulture production is the base production township in the urban area, with the highest annual output of cocoon 12000 kg, rape planting 1560 mu, the highest annual output 187 tons and vegetable planting area of 2500 mu. Animal husbandry is dominated by small poultry, pigs, cattle, sheep and rabbits, with an annual production of 400,000 small poultry. The development of pigs in this township has begun to take shape. Cattle, sheep, rabbits, fish and other aquaculture industries have developed rapidly, and gradually formed a large number of agricultural products, small poultry and large livestock trading markets.

Convenient transportation. All the roads leading to the city are secondary and tertiary oil roads. There are 10 passenger buses every day, and there is a passenger bus every 40 minutes during the day. There are stations in all five villages within the territory where Lu Yong Highway passes, and village roads and community roads have been built in the township 13 villages and 129 villagers' groups, reaching all villages and groups and extending in all directions.

The infrastructure is perfect. Since the reform and opening up, successive party committees and governments in the township have always insisted on development and paid close attention to infrastructure construction, which has gradually changed the production and living conditions of the masses. The township 1 1 village has built a supporting bell lifting project, with a total of 26 kilometers of bucket canals and agricultural canals. In villages 6 and 8, two large irrigation stations and six small irrigation stations were built, and a mobile station and a Unicom station were built in Yuhuangling Village and Yongfeng Village respectively. More than 90% farmers in the township have installed cable TV, and they can watch programs of 37 central and local channels. Township 13 villages, each village has carried out rural power grid transformation, the electricity fee is the same, the price is the same, and the daily water supply capacity of waterworks is 300 tons.

Education rose earlier. During the Republic of China, a primary school was established in Yongfeng Village. After liberation, education began to spread. After decades of development, a central school and two four-story teaching buildings have been built, which are divided into junior high schools and primary schools and accommodate 20 standard classes. There are 13 administrative villages, each with primary schools, hospitals, credit cooperatives and post offices, one nursing home in the center of the township and three nursing homes at the village level.

Strong labor export ability. The township has a large population and a small surplus labor force. After the reform and opening up, under the active guidance of successive party committees and governments, it has exported more than 4,000 people with an annual income of 40 million yuan, which has become an important source for the masses to get rich and increase their income.
