Northeast Normal University, referred to as Northeast Normal University for short, is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and jointly established by Jilin Provincial People's Government.

It is a world-class discipline construction university, a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Engineering" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform", and has been selected into the national "1/Plan", "National Training Plan", excellent teacher training plan and national public postgraduate plan for building high-level universities.

East China Normal University, referred to as "East China Normal University", is located in Shanghai and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It ranks among the "World-class University Construction Class A Universities", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project" and is selected as "201Plan" and "6 1 Project".

Nanjing Normal University, referred to as Nanjing Normal University for short, is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. It was jointly built by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and People's Republic of China (PRC) Ministry of Education. It is one of the first national "2 1 1 Project" key construction universities, world-class discipline construction universities and high-level university construction universities in Jiangsu Province.

It has successively been selected as one of the cradles of higher normal education in China, such as the national plan to build high-level university graduate students, the plan to introduce talents through academic innovation, the plan to train excellent teachers, the plan to train excellent legal talents, the scholarship receiving institution of China government for overseas students, the national cultural quality education base for college students, and the demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education.
