Your passport is the common certificate for all GMAT examination rooms in the world, and some countries and regions also allow the use of local second certificates:

For example, in the examination room in Chinese mainland, candidates can take the second-generation ID card to take the exam. For example, in the United States, if you are an American (China students can't get an American driver's license), you can take the exam with an American driver's license. If you have a green card, you can take it with you.

In Chinese mainland, temporary id card can take the GMAT exam, but your score will be kept temporarily until you submit your official ID card or passport to the test center again.

People from Taiwan Province Province who take the exam in Chinese mainland can only use the Taiwanese certificate to enter the examination room, because the passport of Taiwan Province Province is not recognized in Chinese mainland. Chinese mainland citizens who take the exam in Taiwan Province Province can hold China passports or entry permits.
