The answer is of course no. The statement circulating on the Internet that the state will abolish private kindergartens is also a random interpretation of relevant state policies from the media, misleading the public. With regard to preschool education, in 20 19 10 and1year, the state issued "Several Opinions on Deepening the Reform and Standardized Development of Preschool Education", and in June 2020, the General Office of the State Council issued the "Notice on Developing the Governance of Urban Community Supporting Kindergartens".
First of all, the Opinions pointed out that the coverage rate of inclusive kindergartens may be higher in 2020, which means that the proportion of public kindergartens and inclusive private parks may reach 80%, and private kindergartens are explicitly prohibited from listing.
Secondly, the Notice requires that supporting kindergartens in residential areas should be run by the Ministry of Education as public kindergartens or entrusted as inclusive private parks, not as for-profit kindergartens.
It can be seen that the state will not cancel private kindergartens, but only increase the proportion of public kindergartens and inclusive private parks. After all, the resources of preschool education in China are still relatively scarce. If private kindergartens are abolished, many children will definitely face the problem of difficulty in enrolling.
