Lixian County, which belongs to Changde City, Hunan Province, is named after the Lishui River runs through the whole territory. It is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, in the northwest of Hunan Province, and on the west bank of Dongting Lake, with a linear distance of 80 kilometers from the Yangtze River. Li Zhou was founded in the first year of Shaotai (555). In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 589), Tianmen County was abolished, and Liyang County was established. In 20 14, the county administered 4 sub-district offices, 14 towns and 16 townships, with suitable climate, diverse landforms and vast water surface. The prehistoric cultural sites in Liyang Plain, with Chengtou Mountain, Pengtou Mountain, Jijiaocheng, Badian, Shiligang and Dingjiagang as the core, have been applied for world cultural heritage by the state to the United Nations. Among them, the earliest ancient city ruins, ancient altars and ancient rice fields in China have been found in Chengtoushan Ancient Culture Site, 6000 years ago.
