From the original road (Han Yu's literary works)

The original way is Han Yu's masterpiece of restoring ancient ways, worshiping Confucianism and abandoning Buddhism. This paper has a clear point of view, breaking the legislation simultaneously and quoting classics. From the historical development, social life and other aspects, this paper criticizes the right and wrong of Buddhism and discusses the right and wrong of Confucianism, which comes down to the purpose of restoring the ancient road and respecting Confucianism. It is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese prose in the Tang Dynasty. The "original Tao" is to seek the root of Tao. Han Yu believes that the origin of Taoism is Confucian "benevolence, righteousness and morality". He took it as his duty to inherit Taoism and restore Confucianism and Taoism, rejected "Buddhism and Taoism", attacked the separatist regime in the buffer regions, and demanded strengthening the centralization of monarchy to alleviate the deepening social contradictions.
